We believe in transparency. AI is a tool, and what matters is how it's used — so we're upfront about where and why we use it. Equuinity is built by a single-person team with big ambitions, and AI helps us deliver a richer, more immersive experience than would otherwise be possible. It doesn't replace human creativity and decision-making; we use it to amplify them.
01Where we use AI
Development assistance
We use AI-assisted coding and agentic tools during development. This helps us build features faster, catch bugs earlier, run simulations, test more scenarios, and maintain code quality across the project.
What this means for you: a more polished product, delivered sooner. All code is reviewed and tested by humans.
Visual assets
Some visual elements and Alpha/Beta artwork may be AI-generated or AI-assisted. We aim to move to commissioned or hand-crafted art wherever possible once Equuinity has a sustainable revenue stream.
Our goal: support human artists wherever possible, while using AI to fill gaps during early development.
02Where we don't use AI
Some things are too important to hand off. AI is not involved in:

Game mechanics and balance. Competition scoring, breeding outcomes, stat calculations, and economic systems are deterministic code written and tuned by humans.

Moderation decisions. Community moderation actions are taken by real people, not automated systems.

Your personal data. We do not feed your personal information, account details, or private messages into any AI system or agent.

Financial transactions. Payment processing, subscription management, and in-game currency are handled by verified, auditable code and trusted providers like Stripe.
03AI & your data
When AI is used to run simulations based on production data, it receives only in-game data relevant to that specific event — horse name, breed, stats, competition results, etc. It never receives your player information, including email, real name, payment information, or any other personal data.
