Terms of Service.

Section 01Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing Equuinity, you agree to comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Alpha Testing Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

Section 02Age Requirement

You must be at least 17 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Section 03Alpha Testing Phase

Equuinity is currently in alpha testing, which means:

• Features are incomplete and may change.
• Bugs and performance issues may occur.
• We make no guarantees about uptime, stability, or data persistence.

Please also review our Alpha Testing Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Section 04User Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your login information secure.
• All activity under your account is your responsibility.
• Accounts may not be sold, shared, or transferred.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Section 05Intellectual Property

Our content

All content, features, and functionality of Equuinity (including text, graphics, logos, artwork, horse genetics, breeding algorithms, and game mechanics) are owned by Equuinity and protected by copyright law. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content.
• Use our content for commercial purposes without permission.
• Reverse engineer or extract algorithms, systems, or data.
• Screenshot, record, or share proprietary content outside approved community areas.
• Use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the game.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create (such as horse names, stable descriptions, and forum posts). By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute this content within Equuinity.

We reserve the right (but are not obligated) to remove user content that violates these Terms.

Section 06Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Equuinity for unlawful purposes.
• Harass, bully, or discriminate against others.
• Post harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service.

Section 07Virtual Currency & Purchases

• Equuinos and EQ Coins are virtual currencies used in-game.
• They have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money.
• All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law.
• If your account is suspended or terminated, you will not receive refunds for unused virtual items or currency.

Section 08Privacy & Data

Your privacy matters to us. Please read our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, including email addresses, IP logs, and payment data processed by Stripe.

Section 09Advertising & Third-Party Services

Equuinity displays ads from:

• Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve personalized ads.
• Our sponsors, whose banners we display directly.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or websites they link to. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Section 10Termination of Accounts

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, harmed other users, or interfered with the service. Upon termination:

• Your right to use Equuinity ends immediately.
• Virtual items and currency are forfeited and are not refundable.

Section 11Limitation of Liability

Equuinity is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Section 12Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Equuinity harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Section 13Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you in-game or by email. Your continued use of Equuinity after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Section 14Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

Section 15Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Alpha Testing Policy, form the complete agreement between you and Equuinity.
