Alpha testing is the early development phase where core features are being implemented and tested by a limited group of users before public release. As an alpha tester, you're helping us build Equuinity from the ground up.
Section 01What is alpha testing?
A short snapshot of where the game stands today.
What's working
- Core horse breeding system
- Basic training mechanics
- Competition framework
- Forum community
- User accounts and facilities
Still in development
- AI-generated training reports
- Horse marketplace
- Advanced breeding features
- Mobile optimization
- Payment / subscription system
Section 02Your role as an alpha tester
What we ask of you
- Test thoroughly — try different approaches and combinations.
- Report bugs and issues — help us catch problems before public release.
- Provide feedback — share your thoughts on gameplay balance and UX.
- Be patient — features may be incomplete or change.
- Stay engaged — regular play helps us gather meaningful data.
- Follow community guidelines to keep the testing environment positive.
What we provide
- Early access to the game before anyone else.
- Direct influence — your feedback shapes the final product.
- Community recognition with alpha tester badges and acknowledgment.
- Responsive support — direct communication with developers.
- Grandfathered benefits — special consideration for loyal testers.
Section 03What to expect
Bugs and issues
Expect to encounter bugs, incomplete features, and temporary workarounds. This is normal during alpha — visual glitches, features that don't behave as expected, occasional error messages, and performance hiccups are all part of the territory.
Frequent changes
Game mechanics, interfaces, and features may change rapidly based on testing feedback — balance adjustments, interface redesigns, additions, removals, and occasional database changes.
Irregular updates
Development follows testing priorities rather than a fixed schedule. Features may arrive earlier or later than expected, some updates require brief downtime, and community feedback often shifts the timeline.
Section 04Your data & progress
We make every effort to preserve your progress. Some data resets may be necessary for major system updates, but we'll always communicate about them in advance.
- Our commitment — we will preserve your progress whenever possible.
- Advance notice — at least 7 days before any planned data change.
- Compensation — if a reset is required, we may provide in-game compensation.
What we always preserve
- User accounts and login credentials.
- Subscription status and payment history.
- Community contributions (forum posts, etc.).
- Achievement and participation records.
Section 05How to provide feedback
Bug reports
- Use the in-game report system when available.
- Email hello@equuinity.com with screenshots.
- Include steps to reproduce the issue.
- Note your browser and device information.
Feature feedback
- Share thoughts in the community forums.
- Participate in developer polls and surveys.
- Direct message administrators with suggestions.
- Join community discussions about improvements.
Section 06Transition to public release
Alpha testing will conclude when core systems are stable and feature-complete. We'll then transition to a beta phase with a wider audience before public launch. Alpha testers carry forward:
- Exclusive alpha tester recognition and badges.
- Continued access during the beta phase.
- Special consideration for future testing programs.
- Founder-level perks and acknowledgments.
- Priority support and community privileges.
Section 07Questions about alpha testing
Reach us through the contact form or email hello@equuinity.com with the subject line “Alpha Testing Question.” We aim to respond within 48 hours.
Thank you for alpha testing.
Your participation is invaluable. Together, we're building something special for the horse community.
This Alpha Testing Policy may be updated as development progresses. We will notify all alpha testers of significant policy changes.
